Unmotivated.
That's what I've been feeling lately. Whether it would be in writing blog posts (so sorry), or in school work, I have been feeling exceptionally lazy. I suppose it's the mere 4 weeks of school left that is constantly taunting me everywhere I go. Summer months (AND PALM TREES) are calling my name..
So since summer is fast approaching, and warm weather has started to erupt, I thought it would be appropriate to bring out my new side-slit top that I purchased from Charlotte Russe. These tops are a big trend at the moment, but a lot of people aren't seen wearing them around really. Why, you ask??! Well, one reason could be that it seems like a real effort to piece an outfit around this top because of its uniqueness. And when talking about effort...you know that I have probably 20% at the moment. SO FEAR NOT! Making this side-slit top work is a lot easier than you make think.
For me, I like to keep my style pretty minimal, partially because I get too lazy to accessorize. Soooo with my side-slit top, I chose to stick to the basics. I paired it with a mid-length, black skirt, which made the outfit appear to be in dress form. How about that for an illusion.. :) Then, I of course picked the 'boks (reebok's) for my shoe of choice. This shoe tied the whole look together because of its minimalistic, modern appeal. One accessory that I did incorporate, was my dark burgundy purse. If you do feel a little adventurous, you can always make more of a statement by adding a bag with a pattern, or even by layering jewelry.
If you're thinking about ever purchasing a side-slit top, I know that Forever 21 carries them for a pretty reasonable price.
Anyways, stay kewl kidz.
Love always,
Brylizzle
