Outfit #1: "While I wait"
Hello hello, it's summer break, so that means...... IT'S FESTIVAL SEASON. (and work, but no one really cares about work) With festival season being in full swing, it's important to plan ahead on not just your game plan for getting front row at the Paul McCartney set, but EVERYTHING in between. Whether you're going to a festival or not, it is pretty well known that the fashion can represent a big part in the full-fledged experience. Music festivals have been a way of abundant self-expression for years and years, so not only does the music and art represent a lot about people, but the fashion does as well. It's a fun place of freedom that allows you to vibe along with friends to great music. I am so incredibly happy that this coming June I am attending Firefly Music Festival. I have been planning this adventure for months now, that's how excited I am! It may have broke my bank (speaking of which, I will be doing another blog post on THE ULTIMATE FREE FESTIVAL. Stay Tuned) but it will be well worth it, I'm sure.
So you're probably aware of the kind of fashion that sparks up at festivals. A famous festival you may or may not have heard of is Coachella. (Or 'chella, as the celebs call it..) I know I was refreshing my instagram last month every minute when the festival was taking place. Pictures of Kylie Jenner kept popping up of her and her trendy, thousand dollar Coachella Festival Fash. It made me want to start planning out my outfits, so I wouldn't procrastinate and end up wearing a garbage bag. (Even though a trash bag would probably be "Oh so hip" as the E! network may say)
The outfit that I am wearing above is just an idea of easy, affordable festival attire. I purchased most everything I am wearing from PacSun. The flowy pants allow for mobility. These are great, especially if you're running to a stage that is a mile away. It's important to be comfortable and practical. The color of the pants also allow for a subtle pop of color. The sales associate man at PacSun told me that "this color is so in for this summer," so listen to him, people. "THIS COLOR IS SO IN." The top is just a black, checkered bralette. It's pretty much going to be my staple at Firefly because it compliments everything so well, and it's extremely easy to dress up or dress down. I paired the outfit with a layered gold necklace that has an arrow and some turquoise on it. This adds to the chill, relaxed look that I was going for. My advice: stay away from too much jewelry at festivals. It will most likely get annoying after 2 minutes of jumping around to Steve Aoki's electric dance music set. Keep it minimal. As for the shoes, I chose to be a basic festival girl with my brown gladiator sandals. That's okay though because they're somewhat hidden. Anyways, I hope you liked festival outfit #1. There will be more to come!
Enjoy the beautiful day.
Oh I bought a hammock, so that's kewl.
Love always,
